Rooted in Respect is a powerful, community-wide gathering focused on safety, empowerment, and accountability in our dance spaces. This free event featured a self-defense class for women and femme-identifying individuals (led by Rosie Miller—Brown Belt in Jiu Jitsu), a panel and open forum for all dancers moderated by Kenna New and Rose Miller with special guest panelists from the dance industry, mental health, HR, military advocacy, and community safety, plus community time for food, mingling, and resource-sharing.
